Keeping a group on schedule can be a challenge, but having someone pre-plan the itinerary can save valuable time. Pegasus developed W.I.N.G.S© to do just that- give the group coordinator complete piece of mind. W.I.N.G.S.© allows access to transportation schedules, GPS tracking, boarding checks, dining schedules with menus, event details, and so much more. It’s like having a personal assistant in the palm of your hand!
Pegasus developed its Marketplace in 2015 to capture an emerging FIT travel market. The booking engine leveraged the newly acquired Disney Select contract to allow Travel Professionals to book Florida vacation packages in a unique way. This service allows hassle-free reservations for attraction tickets, sporting events, hotels, and more. With a 60 second sign-up process, Pegasus Marketplace has been a huge success!
One Man, One Van
Pegasus started with one van in 1994, and its’ owner Fernando Pereira as its only driver. With a dream and pure ambition, Fernando set out to take the transportation industry by storm. He slowly began to purchase additional vans for his fleet, allowing him to hire additional drivers and meet the demands of his growing client base. The fleet of vans steadily grew until the year 2000. Big things were beginning to happen, and finally the dream would become a reality. VIP’s Jet Tours was taking off!
The First Pegasus
The year 2000 was a major milestone for Fernando and his company as they acquired their first 61 seat passenger bus. The company formally known as VIP’s Jet Tours began operating as Pegasus. The business started shifting towards groups and diversifying its product line to meet the needs of its growing client base. With the ability to move larger groups effortlessly and efficiently, Pegasus began to see great improvements in client acquisition and overall satisfaction from clients and employees.
By 2007, the company had grown to 18 buses and was ready to open a second location in South Florida. In addition to its new location, Pegasus also started to offer hotels, attractions, and events to its portfolio. With the increasing number of clients and products, Pegasus was becoming a little too big for its humble start. The future began shining vibrantly, and the home that started it all needed to expand. With more drivers, employees, and clients, Pegasus needed a bigger home.
Home Sweet Home
In 2010, to continue supporting the expanded growth, Pegasus constructed its own permanent headquarters in Orlando. The new facility boasted expanded office space, garage, and maintenance shop. This allowed Pegasus to keep, maintain, and attend to its buses onsite. By maintaining everything at home, Pegasus was able to control its destiny and not rely on the constraints of other companies for bus installations, repairs, and general maintenance. The expanded office space also allowed Pegasus to hire more employees, helping to grow and diversify its portfolio, and reach out amongst the community
Pegasus met moments of difficulty with resiliency, and through its visionary ability found hidden opportunities. When the industry came to a halt with the events of 9/11, Pegasus decided to invest in its fleet and its employees by sending buses around the city empty so that the company would remain visible. In 2004, Hurricane Charlie brought similar circumstances that were met with an increase in the fleet in preparation for the return in demand.
The Great Recession
Portfolio and Market Diversification was the solution to the extreme decline in domestic consumption that began in 2009. Pegasus was poised well in the international market with a focus on South America. The Company continued to grow and support its local community during the recession. With a positive outlook and a dedicated solid plan of action, Pegasus showed how to make sunshine out of a dark cloudy economy.

A large part of Pegasus’ stability can also be laid at the feet of its CEO, who was recognized in 2011 as SBA North Florida District Small Business Person of the Year and in 2015 as CEO of the Year. His relentless commitment to clients and employees has ensured consistent quality in all aspects of the Company
Innovator of the Year
Pegasus was named Innovator of the Year for its unique and diversified approach to technology, including the brand new Pegasus Marketplace, and the fan favorite W.I.N.G.S® platform. Both of these systems have changed the way travel professionals book, manage, and secure their services for corporate, educational, and leisure travel. Pegasus is focused on breaking the mold when it comes to quality travel services.
SYTA – Student Youth Travel Association
SYTA is the trusted resource for educators, administrators, parents, and travel professionals that understand travel is an important element of education. Pegasus is proud to have partnered with this amazing organization for over 5 years, donating over $30,000 to date.
Boy Scouts of America
The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) is one of the nation’s largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, teaches the responsibilities of citizenship, and develops personal health and wellness. Pegasus provides free transportation services from all Central Florida Schools to La-No-Che Camp for all BSA members.
Orlando City Soccer Foundation
The Orlando City Foundation is a Central Florida Foundation certified and documented 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization committed to improving the lives of children in the Central Florida community by offering sports opportunities, coaching, and guidance. Pegasus contributes $15,000 worth of transportation allowance each year to the organization, and has committed a rebate for every service booked through any affiliate of the organization.
A Gift for Teaching
To ensure every child has the tools and experiences to succeed in school and life, Pegasus regularly donates supplies, toys, and equipment. We love to stay involved in the scholastic community as a true supporter of innovation, technology, and education.
